ANTIBIOTICS

• The Most Important thing you can do is to DISCONTINUE taking any antibiotics/drugs of any kind.  These will simply mask the bugs causing your condition. 
• Discontinue such medication for at LEAST 20 days before your departure, or longer.

YOUR PARTNER
If your prostatitis is caused by an STD, such as mycoplasma, Chlamydia or a virus etc, it is highly recommended that your partner comes with you.

• Women partners of patients with prostatitis can provide important diagnostic clues.
• Sometimes, it is easier to identify the causative organism in a woman than in a man.
• Also, unless the woman is treated at the same time, it is likely that the man will suffer a recurrence.
• In the event that it is impossible for the partner to come, Dr. Song will provide some medication for them and the treatment can be carried out back home

OTHER ITEMS REQUIRED FOR TREATMENT

• Bring any medical records relating to your prostatitis condition
• Allow sufficient time for your treatment and ensure that your VISA is issued for a minimum of 60 days
• Have the following tests done prior to departure :
  - HIV
  - Hepatitis a, b and c
  and bring the results with you
• Ensure all correspondence with Dr Song is completed and confirmed dates are in place, so that everyone is ready and expecting you.
