* If you have ever had acute-like prostatitis symptoms of chills, fever, urinary infection, then it most probably was bacteria based. A presumption by a Doctor that a patient's condition is not caused by bacteria just because nothing has been isolated is not a good reason to rule out bacteria, nor prescribe wide-spectrum antibiotics as a safety guess. Those safety guesses all add up over time, making eradication of properly isolated bacteria much harder to elminate because of antibiotic resistance.
